Grand Designs dairy cottage, hampshire

After refurbishing and moving into Dairy Cottage a 16th Century thatched cottage in Hampshire - Cheryl and Alex Reay were devastated to learn that a fire had swept through their cottage leaving a building near to demolition, and with the added blow that their fire insurance had lapsed - Cheryl and Alex decided to draw a line and start afresh and project manage and rebuild their beautiful home together.

The fire had started within the core of the house in the existing chimney and so along with the remainder of the house building progressed. The adventurous couple decided to make a feature of the new fire breast as this was now fully exposed within the cottage from ground floor to roof level - and we were happy to help in the supply of our designed to inspire...more tiles in a 600x117mm format, three other formats from the same designed to inspire...more collection were successfully installed by Alex in both the ensuite and wet-room applications.
